Don't Cry Over Spilt OJ

This is my first full week with DCF and so far it has been interesting. I've found the whole experience to rather humorous to say the least. I showed up Monday running a few minutes behind because my travel mug mysteriously opened itself up and spill OJ all over my bag and things. What a way to start the day! When I got there the supervisor I was suppose to report to was not in fact my supervisor. She took me and my group on a tour until my manager did show up. The tour was a brisk walk through 5 floors (in 4 inch heels). Then I met my manager who is only going to manage my group for a little while until we get a real supervisor. We were given cubicles without computers or phones. The office is switching around so my desk might not be my desk next time I go to the office. (LOL) From here we were given people to shadow. While we waited to be assigned we were told to explore the computer (on someone else's desk). Our supervisor told us that if the person we were assigned to was done for the day and she was not there to help us to ask someone else if we could help them or shadow them. Needless to say... it was quite the first day. Today I was at the academy all day learning stuff. We played a game based our 22 key targets and my team kicked ass majorly. We were so far ahead of everyone else the instructor stopped the game. The academy wasn't that bad.. I only have to do the drive to the academy 36 times in the next ten months. I'm starting to get used to the hours but I'm exhausted by 6pm. I always wanted a 7-3 kinda job with weekends off but... it's rough getting up with the sun and wanting to go to bed before the sun goes down. These next few weeks are going to be rough but I'm ready.
