End of the Semester Blues

It's the end of the semester and you think I'd be excited because it's over. Well, I'm not because unlike all of my other college friends I do not get a Christmas break. I get to work my way through the break straight into next semester. Wow I am so incredibly lame. I can't wait until grad school is over. Which at this point could be when I'm 90. They cancelled one of my class for next semester which wouldn't be a big deal except I need it to graduate! However I did just complete my Research Methods class. This is the online class that my first professor was fired from and a new one was introduced over half way through. I had to write a 25 page research paper on a topic of my choosing. I had all semester to write this paper. Well come due date time my paper was complete after hard work and a ton of procrastination I managed to bang out a 55 page paper. I have never written a 55 page paper in my entire existence. It should have been published as a mini novella or something. Any way I turned it in yesterday and I got my grade today. Now that's service! I got an A-! Maybe I should submit that paper with the grade to my Labor Relations professor who believes I am not at a grad school level. Jerk Face!
This weekend Erica came up to visit us. We also had our first Christmas party. It went very well. I love having all my friends over. I think this party is going to turn into a yearly Christmas party. Despite Anthony's complaints of grocery shopping and the busy happenings that come along with the impending party he also enjoyed the party. The whole busy weekend was worth all the running around.
Another discovery I made this weekend was my new favorite CD. James Blunt is one of my new favorite artists. A few weeks ago he was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live and I couldn't believe how much I instantly liked him. He isn't a terribly good live artist but his lyrics are really good. I bought the CD this weekend and was surprised because I've heard his music before on t.v. It's that music that your favorite shows plays in an emotional scene that brings you to tears or makes you feel for the character. If you haven't heard his music and I'm sure you haven't really heard it you should check him out. www.jamesblunt.com
