Nothing Says Independence Like Beer and Babies!

It's been so long since I last posted. Work has been more insane every week. I am super anal about to do lists and make and re-make them throughout the day. I hate leaving them only half completed. However, my job is not a job that will ever leave me with a complete to do list and I know this. Still I strive on a daily basis to leave with zero work for the following day. Today was hard getting back into the swing of things. I had to work on Monday and had Tuesday off leaving me with a second Monday if you will. I struggled through work today after a crazy weekend and a crazy day off. I got a lot of work done tonight so I could go to poker night at T's house and I was semi successful. However, poker night was cut short when we found out K was in labor! K is waiting for her baby girl to be born which may have already happened at this point.
Speaking of baby girls my beautiful god daughter turned one on Sunday. She is such a peanut and a goof ball. She took her first six steps the other day too! I can't believe she is already one it feels like she was just born.
Needless to say I spent the holiday weekend and such celebrating my independence in a drunken' oblivion. Our garage smells like stale beer from endless Beirut games. I hated that smell in college (4 years of stale beer is not roses) but oddly enough walking through the garage today it brought back so many great memories I couldn't help but stop and take a big whiff of old stale Bud.

Glad that you had a good 4th. It's exciting that your god daughter is taking her first steps...that is always cute. Kids grow up so fast!!! When I was a kid time seemed to stand still but now as an adult it moves quicker and quicker. Just goes to show that today is the day to do what need to do so that we can live life with no regrets.
